Arbeitsmarktintegration von Migranten: Die Potenziale kultureller Vielfalt nutzen (IAB-Bibliothek (Dissertationen))
Nearly a fifth of people living in Germany are of migratory backgrounds – and counting. The integration of these people into the labour market is a task of national importance. This can only be achieved if the relevant local conditions and the different national origins of the migrants are considered systematically.
This is the significant and decisive difference of Andreas Damelang’s study to other works in this field of study to date: The author looks at the deficits and integration difficulties of migrants. On an empirical basis he analyses the positive impact of cultural diversity on the productivity and innovative ability of economy and society. Finally, Damelang discusses which action options local, political agents have available in order to better exploit the economic potentials of cultural diversity.
